As part of Northeastern’s program to enhance its cybersecurity, protect institutional data, and safeguard personal data, all faculty and staff are asked to complete Information Security Awareness training on an annual basis.

Annual training is completed through the university’s security education platform, in partnership with Proofpoint. It includes two training modules, one on data classification and one on security essentials. These courses take just 30 minutes and are an important part of the university’s security program.

In this training, learn about the university’s data classification program, current security threats, and refresh your awareness of common security situations. The modules focus on current threats and information relevant to Northeastern’s highly mobile global university community.
